Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) Sensor Repairs

The Nitrogen Oxide sensor (NOx sensor) is a component that measures the level of nitrogen that is produced by your vehicle. If the NOx sensor finds that too much NOx is being produced, it sends a message to the engine management system within the vehicle which can then regulate the amount of NOx to ensure that levels remain within the legal limits.

Although the NOx sensor is quite a complex component and can lead to expensive repair costs, the good news is that it’s quite often only one part of the sensor which is faulty – the lambda probe – and this part is easily replaced.
